Brandon Divorce Mediator

The purpose of mediation is to facilitate communication between husband and wife so they can freely express their concerns and desires in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

A mediator’s goal is to help a couple or arrive to an agreement without necessarily ensuring that both parties are getting a “fair” deal.

Once an agreement is reached, then most of the time, the mediator will draft an agreement which later will be presented to the court for incorporating into a divorce decree.Often times the mediation agreement drafted by a non attorney does NOT say what it means or mean what it says!

Once an agreement is reached in mediation and the agreement is signed it is considered legally binding and this is where the problem lies when engaging a non attorney mediator.

Quality Family Law Brandon, Fl.

A family law attorney who practices family law and also does family law mediation will have the expertise to draft an agreement that “says what it means and means what it says .”

In other words, when you leave the mediation session with a signed agreement you can be assured that what you signed can be enforced in court at a later date, if need be.

Unfortunately, if people know they can get away with not fulfilling their legal obligations because their divorce agreement was poorly drafted, they tend not hold up their end of the bargain.

A On-Your-Side Family Law Attorney

Marina Taylor is a highly qualified Tampa family law attorney in the area of family and marital law. As part of the mediation process she has the advantage of being very familiar with the Hillsborough County Court Family Law Division.

This enables her to guide parties into an agreement that will be equitable, not one sided and very close to what would eventually ordered by a judge after spending THOUSANDS of dollars unnecessarily.
